Our client has enjoyed consistent steady growth for over 25 years. They have been profitable and now enjoy an enviable reputation for honesty and integrity. They have a well-oiled accounting department that handles all of the day-to-day accounting responsibilities, but they are now looking for someone to take on the higher-level financial responsibilities. Reporting to the President & COO, you will be focused on month-end reporting and analysis, as well as assisting with corporate taxes (they are not however looking for a tax expert!). In this part-time role, you will have excellent flexibility (on average 3 days a week in the office) and will be expected to take ownership of your role with little supervision. This company has extremely low turnover as most employees have been there over a decade and it is therefore imperative that the next person they find fits in well with their culture – which is honest, no attitude and collaborative!

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial statements and implement improvements
• Assist with managing inventory and annual insurance renewals
• Assist with external audits and ongoing business process documentation
• Train, mentor and support financial staff and assist with salary reviews and employee structure and job agreements as needed
• Other duties as required
