Job Title: Order Desk/Purchase Administrator

Employer: International Food Manufacturer

Location: Richmond, BC – Public transit not available. Own vehicle required for commuting. On-site parking available.

Starting Date: ASAP

Work hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:30pm (30 min meal break + 20 min paid coffee break)

Compensation: $45-47K/yr (DOE)

Benefits: Group insurance (extended health, dental, vision care, prescription drugs) after 3-month probation period

Main Job Duties:
  • Order Desk Duties:
    • Receiving purchase orders from distributors and coordinating with production and sales.
    • Coordinating product inventory and shipping schedules with distributors.
    • Reporting credits for defective products and processing requests to the external accounting firm.
  • Purchase Duties: (When required)
    • Managing inventory while collaborating with the production department.
    • Overseeing supply and ingredient procurement operations from local raw material suppliers, trading companies, and overseas manufacturers.
    • Planning procurement schedules, issuing purchase orders, and communicating with suppliers.
    • Conducting research on new raw materials, procurement, sample requests, and price negotiations.
  • Other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • At least 1‑2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Japanese is an asset.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Quick learner, attentive, and able to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Own your vehicle or reliable transportation required for commuting (No transit service available).
