Job Title : Oracle EPM Architect

Location : Canada Remote (occasional site visit in Victoria)

Seniority on the skill / s required on this requirement : Senior

Estimated Duration : 8 months with possible extension of another 12 months

Work authorization : any (candidate must be authorized to work in CA)

Job Summary

The Client requires Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) cloud functional and technical expertise to work with the internal team on an as-if-when basis to move the project forward. Services and activities could include :

Review provide feedback and recommendations on current design

Provide guidance on next steps and a high level project plan

Provide functional and technical expertise in EPM to supplement the internal team

Make recommendations on design configuration security and integration

Provide architecture configuration and development services as required

Responsibilities

• Enhance the budgeting and forecasting process by using the Oracle performance management cloud solution (EPM) designed to promote standardization within the Ministry of Finance.
• Achieve a unified and streamlined financial management process that enhances transparency and accessibility of budgetary data reducing the reliance on spreadsheets to support one source of truth for working budget data and reporting.
• Standardize the budgeting and forecasting process to support greater accuracy and understanding of the data framework. The project will enhance the precision and clarity of data analysis leading to more informed and reliable budgeting and forecasting.
• Automate integration with multiple source systems to reduce time and effort for data collection and pre-population of data to support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Streamline the budgeting and forecasting process by minimizing manual data collection efforts resulting in faster and more efficient data integration and preparation for budget and forecast process.
• Provide user-friendly dashboards ad-hoc analysis and self-serve reporting to support data review and reduce IT reliance.
• Empower users with intuitive tools for data analysis and self-service reporting enhancing efficiency and decision-making.
• Promote consistent understanding and efficient management of financial processes simplifying new staff training and maintaining operational continuity.
• Implement a scalable end-to-end budgeting and forecasting solution for evolving government needs and organizational changes.
• Enhance flexibility, efficiency, and strategic alignment in financial budgeting forecasting and reporting.

Requirements

• Must have 10 years experience designing and implementing Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Cloud Services (previously Hyperion) including: Workforce Planning, Financials Planning, Narrative Reporting, EPM Integration, data management, Groovy scripting.
• Be available to be on-site in Victoria if / when required.
• Has worked in a complex IT environment and / or public sector.
• Understanding of planning budgeting and forecasting business processes.
