Job description

As an NDT Technician, you’ll play a key role in inspecting, evaluating, and ensuring the integrity of the materials and systems we manufacture, service, and install. With opportunities to work across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland, you'll apply various non-destructive testing methods to help prevent equipment failures and deliver reliable solutions to clients across Atlantic Canada, the Northeastern US, and beyond. Qualifications
  • Technical experience – At least 3 years of hands-on experience in NDT methods and procedures, with knowledge of NDT equipment.
  • Certifications – CGSB certification in various NDT methods. Level II MP, PT, RT, UT, API 653, and CEDO certification are considered assets.
  • Education – High school education required; a Welding Technologist background is preferred.
  • Skills – Strong attention to detail, exceptional safety and quality awareness, ability to maintain positive relationships with co-workers and clients, and physical ability to perform the job.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct non-destructive testing – Use ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing to assess materials and components.
  • Ensure compliance with standards – Be familiar with industry codes and standards to ensure all testing methods are properly executed.
  • Perform inspections – Thoroughly understand the scope and limitations of the NDT methods in which you are certified.
  • Analyze results – Interpret, evaluate, and document findings from your inspections.
  • Client interaction – Prepare reports and communicate results with clients.
