The OneStream EPM System Administrator will play a key role in managing and optimizing our organization’s OneStream platform. This position is responsible for serving as the primary technical lead for the OneStream environment, ensuring seamless operations for consolidation, reporting, and planning functions. The ideal candidate will provide deep technical expertise post-implementation to support business delivery and operational effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities
- Serve as the primary OneStream administrator, managing the environment for consolidation, reporting, and planning functions.
- Configure and maintain OneStream security, user roles, and access controls.
- Perform regular data load activities, data validation, and troubleshooting within the OneStream environment.
- Automate and monitor critical system processes, including backups and scheduled maintenance.
- Ensure business delivery and operational effectiveness across the EPM landscape
System Lifecycle and Quality Assurance
- Manage and execute Testing and QA activities in accordance with OneStream system releases.
- Plan and monitor test cycle results to support ongoing system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation for future reference and training.
- Utilize monitoring tools to evaluate the general health and performance of the application.
Architecture and Integration Support
- Manage the application architecture and tune server settings for optimal performance.
- Manage complex system integrations and automation to ensure seamless data flow between source systems (ERP, legacy systems, etc.) and OneStream.
- Review system logs to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure robust archiving methodologies are in place.
- Leverage OneStream automation tools, such as Workflow, to improve planning processes.
Qualifications
Education
- Post-secondary Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
- OneStream Administrator certification is required.
- Accounting and Financial knowledge is a strong asset.
Experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience in technical and financial system administration.
- Proven experience managing OneStream systems in an administrator, consultant or developer role.
- Experience with OneStream implementation and post-go-live support is highly desirable.
- Experience leading at least 1-2 OneStream implementations as a technical lead or administrator.
- Serving as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders, troubleshooting issues and supporting users.
- Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion is an asset.
Skills & Abilities
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of OneStream functionality including consolidation, reporting, data integration, and security management.
- Scripting: Knowledge of scripting languages such as VB.Net, SQL, Python, or Jython.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to present technical ideas in a user-friendly format and train end-users.
- Liaison: Ability to serve as a bridge between IT and business stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines during peak deliverable periods (e.g., Month-end and Budget cycles).
Working Conditions
- Availability to work non-standard hours and be flexible concerning workdays.
- Irregular work hours required during peak periods such as Seasonal, Month-end, and Budget cycles.
- Off-hour support requirements based on ongoing operational and project demands.
