Description

On Call Mobile Crisis Clinician - Emergency Services

General Summary: Work collaboratively with local police departments and community partners to provide emergency assessments, community-based supports, referrals, and linkages for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.

Must be available nights, overnights, and weekends, with a minimum of two 8-hour shifts per week.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with police, BH Link, and community agencies to complete risk assessments and safety plans.
  • Coordinate referrals to long-term service providers and provide social support information.
  • Complete emergency certifications when necessary.
  • Document services in compliance with Thrive, State, and Federal regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Attend required training and meetings.
  • Participate in safety training and understand safety responsibilities.
  • Maintain professionalism and respect for clients and colleagues.
  • Embrace Thrive's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles.
  • Present a neat appearance and proper identification.
  • Work assigned hours and shifts punctually.
  • Represent Thrive positively, adhering to guiding principles and ethics.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Competencies:

  • Master's degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or related field; licensure preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in mental health or human services, including crisis intervention.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification required; training available upon hire.
  • Knowledge of community resources is preferred.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Valid driver's license and insurance meeting Rhode Island standards or ability to obtain transportation.
Physical Demands

Must meet physical requirements, including standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Accommodations may be provided for disabilities.
