A major healthcare provider in Alberta is looking for a Health Care Aide to provide essential care for clients in a complex care environment. The role requires a High School diploma and graduation from a recognized HCA program. Candidates must communicate effectively in English, and registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is mandatory. The position offers part-time hours with opportunities for professional growth.

Reporting directly to the Director of Care, the Health Care Aide (HCA) is an unregulated member of the interprofessional health care team who provides ongoing client care. The HCA observes, monitors and reports on client status/condition including changes in physical and emotional status. The HCA ensures that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
This position delivers prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure. In keeping with Carewest’s Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care and Carewest policies this position maintains professional and ethical standards at all times. Responsible for other related duties as required.
