Job summary

A leading engineering and maintenance provider is seeking a Work Preparation Lead in Lunenburg County, Town of Bridgewater. This permanent position involves ensuring safety and compliance in the highly regulated nuclear environment. Responsibilities include managing site preparation, documentation, and logistics for piping installations. Applicants should have relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and proven experience in a construction environment. Strong leadership in health and safety culture is essential. This full-time role is Monday to Friday, totaling 38 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a construction/installation environment.
  • Experience in highly regulated sectors like nuclear, oil & gas, or petrochemicals.
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all necessary information and materials are prepared before work starts.
  • Support bridging the gap between design engineering and construction.
  • Act as primary interface between design team and construction teams.
  • Manage the creation of Construction Work Packs for field execution.
  • Lead health and safety culture on site.

Skills

Understanding of piping systems

Education

HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent trade qualification
