Overview

Position Details:

The schedule for this role is rotating 12-hour shifts, days on and nights.

The starting hourly rate for this role is $44.55/hr.

A Day in Life:

The New Hire Trainee, Relief Operator will be required to report to the applicable area supervisor. Main responsibilities include the safe and efficient operation of various equipment within the Crush or Refinery Department.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • May be required to work on a 4 on/4 off, 12-hour rotating shift schedule in the plant.
  • Successful applicant must be able to work at heights, be able to work night shifts, possess good colour vision and must be available at short notice for overtime work.
  • Train and successfully qualify in the operations of the assigned department.
  • Collect and prepare process samples for analysis and perform product testing as required.
  • Accurately record plant operating process parameters and document process conditions.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and complete housekeeping/cleaning checklist in and around the department to which he or she is assigned.
  • Assist operators during startup, shutdown and emergency or process upset conditions.
  • Perform various plant safety inspections as required.
  • Participate in identifying and documenting Near Miss Reports, toolbox talks, Pre-JHAs, JHAs, monthly PQSE training, weekly plant evacuation drills.
  • Comply with all Bunge safety procedures during handling and unloading deliveries of chemicals.
  • Perform other duties assigned from time to time.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
