Overview Of The Role

The Network Architect will design, implement, and support enterprise‑scale network architecture across on‑premises and Azure cloud environments. This is a role requiring broad expertise across LAN, WAN, and cloud networking, with a strong focus on scalable design and operational impact across a large, distributed enterprise environment.

What You’ll Be Doing In The Role

• Design and implement enterprise network architectures across LAN, WAN, and Azure cloud environments.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership for network design, deployment, and modernization initiatives.
• Assess architectural decisions for operational impact, scalability, and long‑term supportability.
• Support network initiatives across multiple geographically distributed locations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and operations teams to deliver integrated network solutions.
• Develop and maintain network architecture standards, diagrams, and documentation.
• Participate in technology selection, design reviews, and enterprise network roadmap planning.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and guide root cause analysis and resolution.
• Create detailed implementation plans, schedules, and technical work estimates.
• Provide regular status updates, risk identification, and issue reporting to stakeholders.

What Skills / Qualifications You’ll Need To Do The Job

• Experience in enterprise networking or infrastructure roles.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise‑scale network architectures.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in LAN and WAN networking technologies.
• Experience working in a Cisco‑based (CISCO shop) networking environment.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud networking, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Experience supporting large, geographically distributed environments with hundreds of locations.
• Strong understanding of network design principles, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Ability to evaluate and communicate the operational impact of technical decisions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and business teams.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is considered an asset.
