Overview

Hi we are a fun and caring family of professionals seeking a reliable child care provider in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We are in the south end of the city (Bridgwater) near bus stops and walking distance to several playgrounds and a grocery store. And most importantly we have an adorable eight month old!

Who we are looking for :

Our goal is to connect with a trustworthy, mature individual who has professional experience looking after infants, babies and toddlers. We are looking for a good fit and to build a relationship with someone that will be a part of our child's life for the next couple of years, not just a few months.

If you are a fun, reliable, hardworking, energetic person that loves to help and take initiative while seeing children learn and grow we are looking for you!

The chosen candidate will also help with some cleaning and housekeeping around the home and meal preparation for the family.

Rate

We will offer a competitive hourly rate but it will vary on applicants experience.

Timeframe

We are seeking fulltime help (Monday- Thursday 8-5pm eventually becoming Monday-Friday 8-5pm). The position is available immediately for the right candidate.

Services And Training

The duties would include :

• infant / baby care- diaper / clothes changes, bottle cleaning / preparation / feeding, food preparation, playing / reading with baby with a focus on early child development, daily outdoor activities / walks, soothing baby as required
• housekeeping- family laundry, changing of bedsheets, cleaning dishes, cleaning of floors / counters / tables and other areas that need immediate attention, general tidying of the home
• meal preparation- chopping of ingredients, start cooking dinner (recipes to be provided)
• Other miscellaneous tasks and errands as required

Job Requirements

• Minimum two years of professional childcare / nannying experience
• Reliable, Mature and Trustworthy
• Positive and Energetic
• Passionate about children and creating a rich, nurturing environment for them
• Comfortable working with sick children as needed
• Must be COVID double vaccinated with Booster preferred (proof required), willing to comply with public health orders
• Legally entitled to work in Canada, must pass child abuse and criminal background check
• Available to start fulltime immediately
• First Aid and CPR certified strongly preferred
• Diploma / degree in Early Childhood Education preferred; Montessori experience an asset
• Valid drivers license and own vehicle preferred
• Fluent in English, second languages considered an asset
• Willing to travel with family on trips an asset and ideally eligible to travel to US
• A car or driver's license is not mandatory, but may be an asset
