A local recovery outreach organization in Jasper is seeking a Recovery Outreach Worker to support individuals and families affected by the wildfire. This role involves providing advocacy, connecting clients to necessary resources, and facilitating community recovery. Applicants should have a degree in human services and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. This position offers competitive wages and is temporary, ending December 31, 2025, with potential for extension.
Position: Recovery Outreach Worker — Municipality of Jasper, Jasper, AB
Compensation: $33.48–$36.27 per hour • Type: Temporary, Full-time • Hours: 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week • Days: Monday to Friday
To be a resource and act as an advocate for individuals and families in the community who are seeking support after the wildfire. A Recovery Outreach Worker acts as a recovery supports generalist by providing information, making referrals and providing support for individuals and families recovering from the impacts of the wildfire. This position is a time-limited recovery-specific adjunct to the existing outreach positions and will work in accordance with Community Outreach Services’ proven philosophies, policies and procedures. This position will begin immediately. The end date is December 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension.
