Job description

Kanata Montessori is a dynamic, leading edge, independent school that has been demonstrating excellence in education since 1974. Serving the educational needs of over 500 students ranging in age and grade from toddler to grade 12, we have developed a progressive community of staff and educators who deliver a 21st century approach to education.

Kanata Montessori is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Montessori Toddler Educator position at our North Campus.

The ideal candidate would have leadership and communication skills (oral and written). He/She needs to be flexible, energetic, engaging, adaptable and reliable. This position requires someone who is able to take initiative and work collaboratively in a team environment. He/She is professional, mature, warm, patient and nurturing. This individual is capable of working with minimum supervision within a multicultural environment, has the ability to use tact, discretion and good judgment and can respect and work with a diverse range of children and families of all backgrounds and abilities.

The position is for our North Campus, located at 630 Cameron Harvey Drive and the hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We do not have access to public transit at this location, so you must have your own vehicle.

The ideal applicant possesses a MACTE-accredited Montessori Toddler certification and/or registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators. He/She is required to have a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check dated within the last six months, up-to-date immunizations, a doctor's health assessment and a valid Standard First Aid & CPR C/AED certification prior to employment.

Salary and benefits will commensurate with experience.
