Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Mobile Trailer Technician to join our client's team in Winnipeg. This hands-on role involves traveling to customer sites to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of trailers. If you're a certified technician who enjoys working independently and solving mechanical challenges on the go, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Travel to client locations to perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Inspect trailers to identify mechanical, electrical, or structural issues.
  • Complete routine maintenance such as lubrication, component replacements, brake and suspension adjustments.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues using industry tools and methods.
  • Repair or replace trailer parts, including lighting, electrical systems, brakes, tires, axles, and couplers.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and bodywork when necessary.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with relevant safety and industry standards.
  • Maintain detailed service records, including parts usage and labor time.
Qualifications
  • 310J or 310T Technician Certification, Journeyperson, or Red Seal Trailer Technician.
  • Proven experience in trailer service or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of trailer systems: electrical, suspension, braking, and structural.
  • Welding, fabrication, or tailgate repair experience is an asset.
  • Team-oriented with effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physically able to lift up to 85 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
