What You’ll Do
- Performance of ongoing preventive maintenance and repair response work orders on facility HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
- Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, some electrical, plumbing systems, building interior / exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.
- Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
- Prepare and submit to management summary reports listing conditions found and actions recommended.
- Study and become familiar with equipment and methods required in everyday activities, including HVAC, Electrical, Building Automation Systems, fire / life safety systems, and other building equipment.
- Maintain a strong customer satisfaction mindset and contribute to an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain a strong Health and Safety mindset, comply with safety procedures, and report hazards with proposed mitigations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable National, Municipal, Provincial, City ordinances, codes, or laws.
- Willingness to support afterhours building-related activities as required.
- Attend periodic training as required to support the business.
- Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Mobile HVAC Technician role.
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.
- 5+ years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment repair and maintenance, and building system design and application.
- Journeyman ticket in HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical is an asset; Gasfitter I or II is also an asset.
- Current valid driver’s license.
- Must meet security clearance requirements.
- Tools provided to perform assigned work scope.
- On-call duties and overtime as required.
