Job Purpose

Our Burnaby Branch is looking for a Shop Mechanic who specializes in servicing and repairing diesel-driven pumps diesel generators electric submersible pumps electric motors heaters and air conditioners. This is a full-time shop-based position for a certified Millwright who thrives in a team environment and takes pride in quality work. This position is Monday to Friday.

What you will do

• Diagnose repair and maintain diesel engines and equipment
• Service and troubleshoot electric motors and submersible pumps
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Work with heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment
• Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks
• Perform additional duties as required or as assigned

Conditions of Employment

• Must be a Certified Journeyman Millwright (Red Seal or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with :
• Diesel-driven pumps and generators
• Electric motors including three-phase systems
• Submersible pumps and HVAC systems
• Ability to work constructively under pressure
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated initiative and strong organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills with a professional customer-service-focused attitude
• Valid drivers license
• A recent drivers abstract will be required
• On-call rotation : One week per month
