We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Senior Level Litigation Associate to join our growing Alberta team.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of post-call civil litigation experience, preferably in the insurance area, and specifically with experience in handling coverage matters. Cyber liability experience is an asset. The successful candidate will work with experienced and respected senior counsel on insurance coverage matters. An existing client base is not required. We offer attractive performance-based remuneration opportunities, and flexible and innovative work arrangements where appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Providing coverage advice on policy interpretation and draft coverage opinions in relation to a variety of insurance policies across numerous industry sectors
  • Supporting senior counsel on complex matters
  • Business development and professional profile enhancement
  • Mentorship of junior lawyers
  • Meeting billable and non-billable targets
  • People/team leadership, mentorship and management
What will help you succeed in this role?
  • Legally entitled to practice law in Canada
  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
  • At least 5 years of civil litigation experience
  • Excellent English oral and written skills and communication ability
  • Strong organization and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a busy practice alongside Legal Assistants and Clerks
