Qualifications

  • Two years of recent experience with severe psychiatric illness.
  • Must have valid BC Driver's License.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certificates required.

Responsibilities

  • Work part of a multidisciplinary team with severe psychiatric illness.
  • Assist clients in developing a treatment care plan.
  • Provide supportive counseling and behavioral management.

Skills

Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to resolve conflicts
Ability to assist clients with daily activities
Ability to observe changes in clients

Education

Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent

Tools
