What You'll Be Doing
  • Provides exceptional member service that builds trust through responsive service and support to deliver what is right for every member, while balancing the interests of the credit union.
  • Processes cash and non‑cash member service transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, account updates, balances, money orders, credit card advances, foreign and domestic exchanges, cheque cashing, electronic funds transfers, and account closures.
  • Pursues and generates sales referrals by proactively promoting Servus products and services, analyzing member needs, explaining solutions and benefits, recording referrals and forwarding them to the appropriate internal personnel.
  • Builds trust with members, resolves routine problems with member accounts and refers complex questions to appropriate internal personnel.
  • Applies policies and procedures to meet safety, legal and privacy requirements.
  • Accountable for area security and internal security audits.
  • Educates members on digital and self‑serve channels to make banking easier.
  • Provides support to other branch team members: outgoing calls, routine correspondence, compliance/audit activities, ATM/night deposit processing, branch report reconciliation, etc.
  • Assists with opening/closing duties: balance daily transmittals, reconcile ATM/night content, administer branch cash services with risk management and control policies.
  • Acts as joint custodian on specified combinations; manages safety deposit boxes and records.
  • Maintains up‑to‑date product knowledge to foster business development through service excellence.
  • Promotes and participates in branch campaigns and initiatives.
What You Bring
  • 1‑year experience in a customer service or administration role.
  • Sales experience is an asset.
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Good computer skills; ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem‑solving, organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for numbers, with fast and accurate data entry skills.
  • Good financial literacy.
  • Good investigative skills for uncovering member needs.
