Job summary

A regional health authority in Manitoba is seeking a qualified individual for a health care position focused on developing policies and procedures. Candidates should have a degree or diploma in a related field, familiarity with Accreditation Canada, and strong communication and organizational skills. This is a full-time, in-person role at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre.

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Experience
  • Experience developing policies and procedures required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in a related field with experience in a health care setting required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Familiarity with the Accreditation Canada process required.
  • Demonstrated problem identification, analysis and resolution skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and technical skills to complete basic repairs of medical equipment required.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Ability to work on own for long periods with minimum supervision/direction required.
  • Ability to instruct others in all phases of the equipment program required.
  • Ability to undertake on-the-job training courses as necessary required.

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
