A healthcare organization in Victoria is seeking a candidate for sterilizing and distributing medical instruments in the Operating Room and other hospital areas. The role requires Grade 12 education, a Sterile Supply Processing course, and skills in medical terminology. Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing instruments, ensuring patient safety, and performing clerical tasks. Ideal for someone with strong communication skills and physical ability.

Reports to Supervisor/Team Lead. Performs a variety of duties such as cleaning, sorting, assembling, and picking of simple and complex types of instrument sets, equipment, and endoscopes used in the Operating Room (O.R.), Endoscopy, and other areas of the hospital. Wraps and sterilizes instruments and equipment, utilizing applicable sterilization techniques, and distributes to appropriate areas. Performs related computerized and clerical duties.
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 12, successful completion of Sterile Supply Processing course, plus one year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
