Job Overview

You will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for planning and executing mechanical testing activities for advanced space robotics hardware. Your work will contribute directly to a high‑visibility program entering a critical design and validation phase.

Mechanical Testing Engineer – Robotics & Space
Brampton, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
40 hours/week | Full‑time Contract | Start: ASAP

Must be eligible forCGP (Controlled Goods Program)clearance.

Must be eligible forReliability Security Clearance.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop, design, and implement mechanical test plans, methodologies, and procedures.
  • Lead vibration, shock, and dynamic behavior test campaigns, including reviewing test plans, data acquisition, and generating reports.
  • Perform functional, performance, and quality testing to identify defects and system issues.
  • Analyze test results, identify anomalies, and document findings in engineering tracking tools.
  • Provide clear feedback to design, development, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Create and maintain test environments, maintenance procedures, and continuous improvements for testing processes.
  • Contribute to documentation including test plans, test reports, procedures, and results summaries.
Must‑Have Qualifications
  • 5 + years of experience writing test plans and detailed test reports.
  • Hands‑on experience executing mechanical tests.
  • Experience withthermalandvibrationtesting.
  • Solid troubleshooting abilities in a technical environment.
Nice to Have
  • TVAC (Thermal Vacuum) testingexperience.
  • Prior experience in thespace industryor aerospace component testing.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of quality in test execution.
