A leading energy transportation company is seeking a Mechanical Technician for its compressor stations. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, ensuring safety and reliability, and completing various training programs. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and are preferred to have dual ticket qualifications in Millwright and Electrician. This full-time position involves travel and a maintenance and operations focus.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician looking for a new challenge? This position will be responsible for safely operate compressor stations ensuring safety and reliability. This is a maintenance and operations position reporting to our Kingsvale (BC) Compressor Station.
What you will do
Complete the Operator Qualifications Training program for each station within your region as required.
Operate and maintain all facility equipment at station(s) throughout the region as required.
Complete all required safety, operations, and maintenance training.
Ability to document work execution and create/review procedures.
Must be willing to work an Operations 8&6 shift.
Must be willing to work away from home on a normal basis and be able to work On Call and Overtime as required.
Work with support groups (Planner/Finance/Pipe liners, Engineering and other Station Operators etc).
Be capable of working all Unifor 4960 shifts.
Who you are
You have the following qualifications and skills:
Required:
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
Dual ticketed Journeyperson Millwright /Electrician and/or Millwright /Instrumentation Mechanic.
Experience working with HMI’s/programmable logic controllers would be considered an asset.
Experience working with pneumatic/hydraulic controls and valve actuators.
Ability to interpret drawings and technical documents.
Ability to multi-task and change duties quickly.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience in the MS Office Suite of tools.
Ability to carry out daily duties with minimal supervision and support.
