A leading Canadian energy company in Calgary is seeking a student engineering intern to support its Kearl oilsands operation. This role involves collaborating with various teams to design and implement engineering solutions. Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Mining engineering and possess strong analytical and communication skills. This position offers a term of 12 to 16 months with a start date in January 2026.

What role you will play in our team: As a student engineering intern in Imperial’s Surface and Mine Technical organization, you will support the Kearl oilsands operation. Your role will involve closely working with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical groups to design and implement engineering solutions related to the surface facilities at the Mine. The role may also support the Reliability engineering organization in completed failure analysis investigations and improving equipment strategies to ensure the long term safe and effective performance of both plant and mine mobile equipment.
