Join our growing Buildings team in Interior BC, based out of our Kelowna or Kamloops office. As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer or Designer, you'll contribute to a variety of building projects across BC, the Yukon, and Western Canada. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated mechanical professional with approximately 5 years of experience to make a real impact.

Your Impact
  • Design mechanical building systems (HVAC, plumbing & drainage, fire protection) from concept through construction.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with architects, other engineering disciplines, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Assist in quality control reviews and ensure deliverables meet WSP's high standards.
  • Stay current with new technologies and sustainable design approaches and participate in internal knowledge-sharing and learning opportunities.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and provide technical input.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and design reports as needed.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered (or eligible to register) as an EIT or P.Eng. with EGBC.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the consulting engineering industry.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for buildings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP is required.
  • Experience with projects in the Okanagan and familiarity with the BC Interior market is an asset.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $77,400 - $102,500

MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200

Atlantic Provinces & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
