Qualifications

Our Ideal Candidate

As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated success with the coordination of the execution of a wide variety of industrial projects.

A Day in the Life
  1. Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications to support the owner
  2. Produce mechanical/piping layout drawings, piping isometric drawings, tank data sheets, process and instrumentation/control diagrams, specifications and details, and bills of materials
  3. Engage in regular communication and coordinate with other disciplines throughout the design process
  4. Solicit input from site operations personnel throughout project development through drawing and 3D model reviews
  5. Set up and maintain Plant 3D projects per project specifications, standards, and procedures
  6. Provide specifications and design information to vendors for bid processes as well as for external design
  7. Provide design assessment and input into engineering estimates for new projects
  8. Assist and coordinate the development of procurement and contract documents, including Requests for Quotations, Bid Walks, Technical Bid Evaluations, Engineering Work Packages and coordinate contractor activities
  9. Participate in technical meetings with the office engineering team and client
  10. Assist vendors to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the owner
  11. Assist in the maintenance of project record keeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, RFIs, and memorandums
  12. Provide field support and respond to field engineering RFIs and questions as quickly as possible in line with project design philosophy
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • Technical diploma, degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • 1-5 years of experience working on industrial project sites
  • Experience in plant piping design utilizing Plant 3D platform
  • Experience with coordination of work and people, communication (verbal and written), planning and organization
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoDesk software (e.g., Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Advanced Steel)
