Timing:

  • Day Shift: 7:00am -3:15pm
  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm-11:15pm
  • Night shift11:00pm-7:15am


Key Duties:

  • Services the mechanical requirements of the Packaging department. This includes the setup, repair and preventative maintenance of the equipment
  • Works closely with the Packaging Team Leaders to ensure the facilitation of the packaging schedule through the efficient changeover and running of packaging equipment.
  • Assists in the preparation ofpackaging linechangeovers by:
  1. Providing assistance in planning and establishingtimelinesforchangeovers;
  2. Reviewing tooling needs prior tochangeovers;
  3. Ensuring change parts are available and in good condition, as well as stored in a sanitarymanner;
  4. Advising packaging Team Leaders of potential areas for concern prior to changeover.
  • Facilitates efficient line set-up and pre-run inspection by:
  1. Providing consultationand assistance to packagingstaff on an as needed basis duringchangeovers;
  2. Reviewingmechanicalcondition of line prior to startup.
  3. Assisting packagingpersonnel in test running all components of the line.
  • Facilitates efficient line operation by:

  1. Providing training, consultation and assistance to packaging staff on an as needed basis during lineoperation;
  2. Reviewing ongoing packaging machine downtime and participating in corrective action as required.
  • Works as a team withthe packaging staff to help trouble shoot and resolve mechanical problems as required by the maintenance Manager.


Qualifications:

  • Highschool education
  • Basic math and writing skills
  • Experience in a high-speed packaging environment
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Works well in a team setting as well as the ability to work independently
