Team and Role

Warner Music Canada is home to influential artists and a roster of major labels. The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing various aspects of marketing and branding for a roster of emerging Warner Music artists across multiple genres.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Develop release and career-building strategies and initiatives for an assigned roster of diverse artists
  • Collaborate with frontline teams (A&R, Promotion, Publicity, Catalogue, Social Media, Content Strategy & Analytics, Business & Audience Development, Design & Web Development, and Commercial Revenue) to lead project strategy and execution
  • In partnership with internal stakeholders, build a clear brand identity for artists with a consistent creative thread across all marketing materials
  • Act as Warner Music Canada’s primary liaison with Artist Management teams, International Labels, and Repertoire Owners
  • Plan, manage, and monitor project budgets in coordination with the VP of Marketing
  • Communicate project information and updates to supervisors and team members via real-time status reports and daily updates
  • Analyze project data to inform marketing decisions, prioritization, and goal attainment
  • Monitor market and industry developments and consumer trends; apply learnings to campaigns
  • Use post-mortem analyses to draw actionable conclusions and refine future initiatives
  • Coordinate with outside partners, third-party vendors, brands, and agencies

About you:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant marketing experience within the music industry or a similar field
  • Education in Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent
  • Strong track record of leading fully integrated, successful marketing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of analytics and data interpretation
  • Working knowledge of musical styles/genres and landscape in Canada and globally
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and independently with high organization and accountability
  • Strong presentation, leadership, and project management skills
  • Adaptable in a fast-moving environment with mature handling of challenging situations
  • A passion for music and a positive attitude that inspires others

Nice to have:

  • Marketing experience within the music industry with labels, brands, and/or agencies
  • Knowledge of streaming platforms and social media applications
  • Experience using music data applications and interpretations
