Description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, service utilization, fundraising, and community engagement. This position plays a critical role in shaping CCS\'s public image and building trust with key audiences. The Manager provides tactical and strategic guidance on digital, print, and event-related marketing activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The role involves leading campaign planning, digital engagement strategies, brand positioning efforts, and performance reporting. It requires a strong mix of creativity, analytical ability, project management skills, and an understanding of the nonprofit landscape. Positioned as a future successor to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Manager also contributes to departmental planning and innovation, driving brand awareness, service utilization, fundraising, and community engagement. This role serves as a strategic and operational partner to the Communications and Fund Development teams. The Marketing Manager will also mentor junior staff and develop cross-functional partnerships, positioning them as future leaders within CCS\'s strategic marketing function.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Campaign Strategy & Execution
    • Develop and manage annual and quarterly marketing calendars aligned with strategic objectives.
    • Lead multi-channel campaigns for events, seasonal giving, and service promotion.
    • Coordinate with Fund Development to support donor acquisition and retention campaigns.
  2. Digital & Social Media Management
    • Manage content strategy and publishing schedule across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) including but not limited to new platforms as they are considered.
    • Oversee paid digital advertising and SEO / SEM campaigns.
    • Monitor web analytics and social KPIs; adjust content to optimize performance.
  3. Brand Management
    • Uphold CCS brand standards across all touchpoints.
    • Develop visual templates and coordinate with design support (internal or freelance).
    • Maintain consistency in messaging and brand identity across materials.
  4. Community Engagement & Outreach
    • Collaborate with teams to support pop-up events, local visibility campaigns, and seasonal outreach.
    • Oversee development of promotion materials including posters, signage, and digital banners.
  5. Leadership & Cross-Departmental Coordination
    • Liaise with Fund Development, People & Culture, and Program teams.
    • Mentor interns or junior staff; contribute to a collaborative, feedback-driven culture.
  6. Vendor Oversight & Resource Management
    • Evaluate the performance and value of marketing-related vendors (e.g., digital ads, web developers, design contractors).
    • Determine levels of engagement based on specialty, scope, and ROI.
    • Recommend continued use or replacement of vendors in alignment with strategic goals and budget.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in marketing roles, preferably in the nonprofit or social service sector.
  • Proficiency in campaign management, digital marketing tools, analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, MS 365), and CMS systems.
  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite or similar design tools.
