Marketing Communications Coordinator (6-Month Contract)

Western Canada (Remote or in-office)

Introduction

We are hiring a Marketing Communications Coordinator for one of our agribusiness clients, supporting crop protection and seed portfolios across Western Canada. This is a six-month contract role, offering the opportunity to contribute to both internal and external marketing communication strategies while working closely with cross-functional teams. The role can be based in Calgary, Alberta or remote within Western Canada.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing marketing communication strategies for crop protection and seed products
• Support promotional campaigns and initiatives that align with sales objectives
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to deliver integrated communications
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of materials
• Develop content and communications across digital and traditional channels
• Provide support for product launches, events, and field marketing activities
• Offer creative ideas and insights to improve marketing effectiveness
• Occasional travel to local fields (3–4 times per year)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in marketing or communications, preferably with public relations exposure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
• Project management experience is an asset
• Knowledge of agriculture or crop production systems is an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
