Job Description Summary

Our Manufacturing team is looking for new members! STEMCELL Technologies is an innovative biotechnology company producing products that help drive science forward, and as a Manufacturing Technologist, Clean Room you will be an integral member of the team helping support STEMCELL production goals.

In this role, you will work collaboratively across teams such as Quality and Supply Chain to produce and deliver high quality products to our customers. You’ll be performing tasks that require great attention to detail, such as weighing raw materials, compounding, formulating, and aseptic processing. This is an exciting opportunity to gain a strong understanding of our products and processes, and to work in a dynamic and diverse team environment while supporting cutting edge life science manufacturing.

Please note this is a shift based role, with shift hours varying between 6 AM - 2 PM or 10 AM - 6 PM, depending on the manufacturing demand. Flexibility to rotate between shifts is required, with sufficient notice provided in advance.

We are currently recruiting for six 18 month fixed term roles.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met across varying levels of complexity
  • Ensure production goals are met by providing manufacturing support with regulated and non-regulated products, and record all activities in written and electronic documents in accordance with good manufacturing practice (GMPs) and good documentation procedures (GDPs)
  • Collaborate with other manufacturing team members to ensure tasks are completed on time and accurately
  • Conduct daily monitoring, calibration, and routine maintenance of equipment used to safeguard product sterility and quality
  • Align continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions for SOP revision and implement any changes via change control processes

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • BSc in life sciences and/or 1-2 years of experience in a regulated/controlled environment
  • Experience with quality systems such as ISO 13485 and cGMP experience is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to balance speed and accuracy requirements and lift up to 30 lbs in a cold room environment

The annual salary for this job ranges from:

$58,500.00 - $79,100.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
