About the Role

At Bradken, a proud member of the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group, we’re on a mission to support the mining and resources sector in operating more efficiently and sustainably. As our Manufacturing Cost Accountant (Canada), you will play a pivotal role within our Manufacturing Finance Team.

In this role you will partner closely with our Mont‑Joli and Edmonton manufacturing sites, supporting leaders with accurate financial reporting, product costing integrity, and insightful variance analysis. Your expertise will help uncover drivers of value, highlight opportunities for cost optimization, and strengthen financial decision‑making across the region.

You’ll work closely with Site Management Teams, Cost Accountants, and Shared Services to ensure financial processes are consistent, timely, and aligned with Bradken’s standards. Your insights will strengthen operational visibility, drive improvement initiatives, and support the financial sustainability of our manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do

You’ll lead weekly/monthly manufacturing reporting, analyze key cost drivers, and support month‑end closing. You’ll drive budgeting and forecasting with site teams, ensure accurate product costing and variance reporting, and provide financial models that guide decisions. You’ll champion continuous improvement, CapEx oversight, audits, and process automation while contributing to a collaborative, “One Bradken” finance culture.

Experience & Skills
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial or operational accounting, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Finance contact for half‑yearly inventory stock takes across manufacturing plants, consignment sites, and toll‑processing locations.
  • Experience with industrial construction costing, inventory processes, and variance analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge and improve existing processes, simplifying and streamlining workflows in collaboration with Manufacturing Finance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

This position will be onsite based in Mont‑Joli Bradken – 1700 Rue Henri Rouleau, Mont‑Joli, QC G5H, Canada.
