Evening Restaurant Manager – Bean & Co., Brackendale
Overview
Bean & Co. is a new coffee‑cafe with a focus on Detroit‑style pizzas, salads, fresh pastas and a full bar program. The café is open for evenings three nights a week (Thursday‑Friday‑Saturday) and looks for a manager to lead evening service. This is a part‑time position (24‑28 hrs/week) with the potential to add a Sunday shift and optional day shifts for full‑time coverage.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage all evening operations, ensuring opening duties are completed, bar prep and inventory are ready, POS is up‑to‑date, dining room set, music and lighting at appropriate level, and service standards met.
- Ensure excellent guest relations that meet or exceed expectations throughout service.
- Interview, hire, train, assign, supervise and evaluate staff; address complaints and resolve problems.
- Ensure all staff are qualified and compliant with Liquor Distribution Branch of British Columbia and District of Squamish regulations.
- Manage and motivate staff according to Bean & Co. policies, establishing a positive and fair work culture.
- Program POS system with necessary menu items, discounts, and promotional codes.
- Manage ordering of products such as liquor, wine, guest taps, glassware, etc.
- Handle financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties accurately and on time.
- Write and post schedules for all evening staff, including on‑site events and tastings.
- Manage inventory of stock and retail area, completing monthly inventory counts.
- Understand proper use of equipment including coffee machines, ice machines, refrigeration, freezers, dishwashers, ventilation, small appliances, and draft systems.
- Supervise location cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain high standards across all areas of service.
