The Manager, Reporting & Insights contributes to the overall success of the Goal Planning and Performance Department in Canada by owning reporting and ad-hoc requests and generating actionable insights for individual goals, plans, and initiatives that support business strategies and objectives. This role ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  • Design and create reports using data to analyze and improve our understanding of branch staff and customer behaviour, and monitor the impact of strategic decisions and initiatives.
  • Design and develop new reports to support management, including visualization tools such as Tableau & PowerBI, complex data and logic tools, SAS, SQL, and self-service dashboards.
  • Analyze data and evaluate results, identify emerging business issues, and prepare recommendations for management.
  • Continuously acquire and enhance knowledge of business/product strategies, portfolio management principles, branch processes and procedures, regulatory requirements, and advanced analytical tools/methodologies to provide business solutions.
  • Validate data extraction to ensure accuracy and accountability of reporting and insights.
  • Work closely with other stakeholders, Retail Customer Value, Goal Planning and Performance employees to support our Retail and Small Business Banking, reporting, and business intelligence processes.
  • Automate and increase efficiencies on data extraction, transformation and reporting processes.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
  • Champion a customer‑focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive workplace, communicating vision, values, business strategy and managing succession and development planning.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
  • A university degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Database Marketing, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong Power BI experience, including DAX coding, Power Query (M), building dataflows and semantic models, and designing insightful dashboards.
  • Experience with report automation, including automated refreshes, data pipelines, and workflow orchestration in Power BI Service.
  • Experience with SQL, Python or SAS.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery or similar cloud data warehousing tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible, motivated, and results‑oriented.
  • Curious and passionate about data, visualization, automation, and continuous improvement.
