Who we are looking for:

The Manager, Regulatory Reporting position is responsible for regulatory reporting for Rogers Bank, including those for the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) and Bank of Canada.

What you'll do:

Regulatory Reporting

  • Ensure all financial and corporate regulatory returns are filed accurately and correctly within prescribed timelines
  • Manage the production of quarterly Pillar 3 disclosure reports for Rogers Bank
  • Maintain comprehensive and updated procedure documentation on the regulatory reporting process
  • Continuously review and enhance the reporting process to improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality of submissions
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information reported to regulatory entities
  • Coordinate and manage internal/external audits of regulatory reporting; addresses any audit findings

Change Management

  • Analyze new financial regulatory requirements, interpret their impact on the Bank’s financial regulatory reporting, and manage the process to implement new or enhanced returns
  • Continuously monitor regulatory communications to ensure most up to date requirements are implemented
  • Attend OSFI, CBA, and other industry events to stay abreast of regulatory issues
  • Participate, as required, in accounting initiatives impacting financial regulatory filings and reporting
  • Ensure the finance team is aware of key upcoming regulatory changes and their impact on Rogers Bank

What you have:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to consistently meet deadlines and a relentless pursuit of process improvements
  • Control and compliance acumen along with knowledge of risk control environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
  • CPA designation is an asset
  • Prior regulatory reporting experience is an asset
