Duties And Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the incoming and outgoing exchange programs within the International Student Services Office (ISSO). The incumbent is also responsible for strategic priorities within student safety abroad, including the design and implementation of student risk management abroad training, maintenance of international partnerships and oversight of all student international exchange mobility programs.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of operational management practices including program/service delivery models, policy development, planning, budgeting, performance measurement management, and human resources.
  • Knowledge of international student services, student mobility, program design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation methodologies, processes, and practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, collective agreements, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions.
  • Deals with confidential and sensitive information which requires superior tact, judgement, facilitation and negotiation skills (particularly appreciating dynamics and sensitivities of other cultures).
Education And Experience
  • Undergraduate University degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, International Relations, Education or related field. Masters’ degree will be preferred.
  • Minimum of two to three years of previous experience in related field with some exposure to management and leadership skills.
