Position Overview
Experience
  • 5 years of progressive leadership, management and business development experience in a private and/or publicly funded organization including:
    • 3 years of management and operations experience which includes operation of fee for service health care services, business development activities, quality assurance and key performance indicator measurement and staff performance.
    • 3 years of experience building and leading a high performing inter-disciplinary health care team.
    • 5 years of recent and relevant physiotherapy fee for service/private practice service provision required.
    • 2 years of research or quality assurance evaluation experience.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Physiotherapy professional degree (BMR-PT or MPT).
  • Post-graduate training in health services management is considered an asset.
  • Advanced clinical preparation such as FCAMPT certification is considered an asset.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba.
  • Membership in the Private Practice, Orthopedic/Pain/Leadership Divisions of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association required.
  • Clinical practice management software skills and knowledge such as Practice Perfect.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work safely in a computerized office environment with frequent meetings, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10kg.
  • Interruptions to respond to questions are common – must be able to schedule dedicated and focused time for planning and concentrating.
  • Must have a valid Manitoba driver’s license and use of personal motor vehicle for travel within the province.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
