A Typical Week

The Manager, Business Development, leads the development and implementation of the CUPAY merchant services program strategy, acting as the program ambassador to identify, nurture, and expand national credit union business partnerships for growth. The role also provides leadership to the LSM CUPAY team in marketing initiatives and sales tactics.

Responsibilities
  • Program Strategy : Lead the development and execution of the CUPAY program strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and credit union needs. Guide sales and marketing initiatives, set KPIs, targets, and monitor performance.
  • Business Development & Relationship Management : Foster strong relationships with credit unions, identify opportunities, negotiate partnerships, and represent CUPAY at industry events.
  • Program Governance : Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, support policy development, and report on progress.
  • Leadership : Supervise and guide team members, manage performance, and support professional development.
  • Company / Department Support : Contribute to budget development, take corrective actions to meet targets, and assist with additional duties as needed.
Qualifications

To be successful :

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, a professional accounting designation, and 6-9 years' experience in a senior financial role, preferably in a financial institution, including supervisory experience. Experience with financial reporting solutions is an asset.

Compensation & Location

This is a one-year contract position with a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits, including flexible work arrangements, personal days, and birthdays off. The role is based in Halifax, NS, with services offered nationwide and options for remote work.

Travel & Work Hours

This role requires travel and occasional evening and weekend work.
