Job Description

Base Salary - $52,500 + Profit Sharing

We are currently seeking new or recent graduates to join our Management Development Program. This is a full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to earn profit sharing.

Please note that successful candidates may be required to relocate within Canada to complete their training. Relocation assistance will be provided. We have opportunities available across the country.

The Role

As a Management Trainee, you will progress through a 4-phased program to learn every aspect of how our business operates – from shipping and receiving, counter sales, and operations management to employee development and more. You will grow a sales territory and provide world-class customer service, with guidance from current managers and teammates within a region and across Canada to build a successful management career at EMCO.

Program Outline
  1. Phase 1: Warehouse and Customer service – Build product knowledge and gain hands-on experience with the logistical side of the business, including customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, and financial statements.
  2. Phase 2: Customer relationships and Procurement – Manage customer service issues and large-scale projects, build relationships with customers and vendors, and learn how to read blueprint drawings to create a materials quote for projects.
  3. Phase 3: Account Management and Proactive Sales – Focus on business development, selling products, negotiating contracts, expanding the customer base, and creating strong customer partnerships.
  4. Phase 4: Leadership and Operations – Provide strategic vision, lead a team, mentor others, and develop leadership competencies while setting vision and strategy.

Upon completing the training phases, you will be prepared to take on the role of a manager at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations.
