Role Overview

Reporting to the Lead, Management Accountant, the Management Accountant, Transformation will play a key role in supporting the SAP S/4HANA implementation. The position will collaborate closely with Finance Process Leads to review and validate system designs and configurations, ensuring alignment with HVC requirements.

Key responsibilities include performing data cleansing and validation, supporting testing activities during SIT and UAT, and providing business logic to ensure functional specifications are accurately configured and refined within the system.

Additionally, the role will contribute to change management discussions, support operational readiness activities, and assist in developing and delivering training to ensure a smooth transition for end users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • Review SAP functionality to confirm alignment with mine site management accounting requirements.
  • Validate that proposed SAP processes meet mine site requirements and comply with industry best practices.
  • Identify and escalate only critical gaps that cannot be resolved within standard templates.
  • Prepare, validate, and migrate financial and operational data into SAP.
  • Execute testing to ensure data integrity and process accuracy during implementation.
  • Act as mine site lead for SAP transition, ensuring requirements are met and issues resolved.
  • Document new processes and workflows in SAP for management accounting.
  • Support training and change management for mine site personnel during implementation.
  • Collaborate with corporate and mine site teams to resolve system‑related issues and improve workflows.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • A CPA designation or enrolled in the CPA program (not mandatory but preferred).
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in financial or management accounting (mining experience is an asset).
  • Strong understanding of mine site operations and cost accounting processes or ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA or JDE preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Salary Range: CAD $93,000 – $115,000 per year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
