The Mall Maintenance Associate will provide hands‑on operational and maintenance support for both the Wetaskiwin Mall and the surrounding area. Reporting directly to the Mall Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring the properties are well‑maintained, safe, and functioning efficiently.

What Will You Do?
  • Act as the on‑site maintenance lead, overseeing day‑to‑day facility and building system upkeep.
  • Respond to tenant maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs (HVAC, equipment, and building systems).
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors for specialized repairs and service work.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, building codes, and hazardous material procedures.
  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate maintenance and work order records.
  • Support mall events and promotions with set‑up, tear‑down, and basic electrical/AV support.
  • Offer occasional after‑hours support to respond to facility emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
What Will You Need?
  • 1‑3 years of building maintenance operations experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems and address minor equipment issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a tenant‑focused approach.
  • Excellent customer service, problem‑solving, and follow‑up skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (able to use work order systems, email, and maintenance logs).
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working at heights (including ladders) and able to lift up to 30 kg as required.
