Role and Responsibilities

This position plans and schedules all maintenance jobs making sure essential materials are provided prior to jobs starting. The role is responsible for procurement of necessary MRO supplies as well as maintaining accurate inventory in stockroom. The objective of this position is to reduce downtime through the effective procurement of MRO products and scheduling of Maintenance Work Orders.

Accountability
  • Inventory & Materials Management: Establish and maintain inventory control systems for spare parts, set min/max levels for critical MRO items, process stock orders in SAP, and ensure timely procurement and accuracy through cycle counts and vendor coordination.
  • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Plan and schedule preventive maintenance (PMs), safety work orders, and routine tasks daily, ensuring PM compliance and minimal production interruptions through collaboration with maintenance and production teams.
  • Work Order & Resource Coordination: Monitor backlog, implement pre-kitting of materials, expedite orders as needed, and assist technicians with part identification to keep workloads manageable and jobs efficiently executed.
  • Reporting & System Utilization: Utilize CMMS to track department metrics, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and communicate schedules and updates to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's Degree with minimum 2 years experience OR High School Diploma/GED with minimum 4 years experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years in materials planning, scheduling, purchasing, or warehouse operations; maintenance environment experience strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of SAP (BUS module preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong professional written and verbal communication skills; adaptable and able to cross-train.
  • Analytical & Organizational Ability: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while balancing speed and accuracy.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to attend job-related training and develop additional skills as needed.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
