Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager plays a critical leadership role within the Redcliff manufacturing facility, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. This role directs a unionized maintenance team, drives process improvements, supports capital planning, and advances Saint‑Gobain’s World Class Manufacturing (WCM) model of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Role model safety standards and foster a culture of safe behaviors.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance team members.
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations including work orders, planning, and troubleshooting.
  • Drive root‑cause analyses (EWO) and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Manage budgets, contractors, and capital projects.
  • Utilize and train team members on SAP and CMMS tools.

The profile:

Required:

  • Post‑secondary education in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or 5+ years related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance and process improvement.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 unionized environment.

Preferred:

  • Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Project Management experience.
