Job summary

A leading recruiting firm is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a top manufacturing company in the Aurora area, Canada. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive manufacturing, leading maintenance teams, and managing Predictive Maintenance Programs. Responsibilities include enhancing existing maintenance programs, leading improvement initiatives, and overseeing a skilled team of technicians. This position requires a strong background in supervisory roles and familiarity with relevant technologies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a supervisory/management role in an automotive manufacturing company.
  • Experience leading maintenance programs for weld robots or stamping presses.
  • Familiarity with PLCs is required.

Responsibilities

  • Improve Predictive Maintenance program and implement long-term fixes.
  • Lead continuous improvements and cost reduction projects using lean manufacturing.
  • Manage a team of 10-12 Millwrights, Electricians, and Robotic Technicians.
  • Handle all aspects of building maintenance for new constructions and updates.
  • Coordinate contractor activities for various projects.

HCR Permanent Search is currently working with a top manufacturing company in the Aurora (area) who needs to hire a Maintenance Manager. To be considered, you would need experience working for a manufacturing company and have experience leading a good Predictive Maintenance Program and be a champion for CI Initiatives. You would also need experience leading maintenance programs for weld robots or stamping presses.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in a supervisory/management role while being employed for an automotive manufacturing company
  • Experience leading maintenance programs/department that has weld robots or stamping presses
  • Familiarity with PLC’s
  • Automotive experience
RESPONSIBILITIES/EFFORTS
  • Make improvements to a Predictive Maintenance program and look to make long term fixes to the production equipment
  • Leads continuous improvements and cost reduction projects through the use of lean manufacturing techniques
  • Leads a team of 10-12 Millwrights, Electricians, and Robotic Technicians.
  • Involved in all aspects of building maintenance requirements for all new construction, renovations and updates according to legal requirements
  • Coordinates and monitors contractor activities for projects.
