A premier manufacturing firm in Nova Scotia is seeking a night shift machine operator to lead a team in setting up and operating production lines. The role requires mechanical skills and attention to detail, with a full benefits package offered. Candidates should have a high school diploma and prior experience in a production environment. This position operates from 8pm to 6am and includes an additional $3/hour shift differential.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, and operate production lines in accordance with work instructions.
  • Perform quality inspections on finished goods.
  • Make equipment adjustments to ensure defect free output.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Communicate with Supervisor, Maintenance, and Planning to ensure problems are raised and solved quickly.
  • Follow all established policies, rules and regulations including lock-out tag-out procedures and safe machine practices.
  • Package finished goods.
  • Fill out Quality paperwork.

Overview

Gerson is a leading N95 producer as well as premier manufacturer of: air-purifying respirators, liquid filters for cleaning paints and solvents, tack cloths for removal of surface particulates, chemical cartridges, and melt-blown filter. We are a premier manufacturer with over 50 years of experience in the manufacturing field.

We are seeking a hard working night shift machine operator to work on a variety of process equipment that serve the public. You will lead a team to set up and operate production lines. Our schedule operates on 2 shifts, a day shift and a night shift, Monday through Friday. This position is scheduled to work nights from 8pm to 6am (10 hour shift). There is an additional $3/hour shift differential added to the hourly rate.
