Machine Operator – Jasper Columbia Icefield Alberta

Pursuit Collection Jasper, AB
Salary: $28–$32 per hour – Full‑time seasonal role (Spring/Summer 2026). Location: Remote Columbia Icefield, Jasper National Park, 100 km from Jasper. Accommodation and meals provided as a taxable benefit.

Role & Responsibilities

• Ensure safety procedures when performing any duties.
• Prepare, grade and maintain the Ice Explorer glacier road daily before tours.
• Assist in snow clearing and equipment movement when needed.
• Conduct pre‑trip inspections and complete required paperwork for each machine.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance (greasing) on heavy equipment.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area and assist with general cleaning duties.
• Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations and reduce downtime.
• Support colleagues and act as a coach/subject‑matter expert on road maintenance.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Equipment Operator ticket preferred; accumulated experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years operating heavy equipment, including 1–2 years on grader and bulldozer.
• Class I driver’s licence an asset.
• Ability to think creatively, solve problems and maintain a positive attitude.
• Must be mature, energetic, dependable and self‑motivated.
• Experience working outdoors in challenging mountain weather (snow, rain, wind, hail).
• Prepared to work in variable weather conditions at the Columbia Icefield.
• Adherence to company drug and alcohol policy required.
• Standard First‑Aid or higher an asset.

Starting wage: $28.00–$32.00 per hour.
