The guest analytics team’s vision is to be the driving force behind transformative guest experiences, leveraging data insights to anticipate needs, personalise interactions, and foster meaningful connections. Core responsibilities

The Data Scientist identifies and leads end‑to‑end advanced analytics projects using technical tools and methods. They are technical and functional leaders who build tools and share insights stakeholders need to make better decisions.

  • Leverage statistical techniques like regression and cohort analysis to diagnose drivers of performance and identify patterns, trends and insights.
  • Develop and maintain predictive models using machine learning techniques to forecast store sales, traffic and other KPIs that can scale.
  • Evaluate and test model performance to optimise models and execution.
  • Determine optimal labour levels to achieve lululemon’s long‑term strategic goals.
  • Perform analysis to quantify the impact of guest LTV due to investment strategies within our retail space.
  • Define technical infrastructure and data model requirements for IT and data engineering organisations.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in a technical discipline such as computer science, statistics, or engineering.
  • Experience with supervised learning model development, evaluation, scoring and deployment.
  • Ability to develop time‑series and predictive models.
  • Familiarity with unsupervised and machine learning algorithms (clusters, neural networks).
  • Proficient in SQL & Python programming and modern development tools (e.g. Git, Databricks).
  • Familiarity with structured and unstructured data types. Experience with cloud data architecture, and ability to develop model data sets from multiple internal data sources.
  • Experience working with or developing recommendation systems.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects and collaborate; effective verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation and benefits package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay‑for‑performance philosophy that recognises exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $105,800–$138,800 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus programme, subject to programme eligibility requirements.
