The Concept Creator, Advanced Concepts is a problem solver and connector who brings tangible innovations to life-from ideation through proof of concept (POC). In this role, you will partner with designers, researchers, and materials teams to understand the technology solutions behind ideas and translate critical thinking into workable concepts for testing and validation.

You thrive in ambiguity and embrace an innovation mindset-comfortable with not knowing and driven by curiosity. This role centers on apparel product development, requiring strong technical design expertise to create and refine prototypes, including sewing, fitting, and adjusting garments. You will elevate creation by iterating through concepts and prototypes in our in‑house workshop.

  • Experience in leading the full product development lifecycle from concept through commercialization, including pressure testing, wear‑testing, and material expertise.
  • Expertise in performance product construction; translating design intent into technical execution, ensuring performance, function, and quality standards are met.

what you'll do
  • Demonstrate proficiency in prototype creation, including sewing, fitting, and refining garments to bring concepts to life.
  • Lead and document fit sessions; communicate adjustments for pattern making and construction.
  • Push boundaries by exploring and testing new methods of make and manufacturing.
  • Create, update, and maintain complete tech packs (BOMs, construction, specs, artwork, trim details).
  • Build and manage seasonal Time & Action (T&A) calendars and key development milestones.
  • Ensure fit, function, and performance are optimized throughout the development process.
  • Partner with materials teams to test and validate performance fabrics, trims, finishes, and new technologies.
  • Work directly with global vendors and factories to guide product execution. Provide clear feedback on samples, construction issues, quality concerns, and manufacturability.
qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Apparel Product Development, Apparel Product Manufacturing, Product Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the performance apparel industry.
  • Proficiency and capability in hands‑on prototyping.
  • Expert knowledge of apparel manufacturing technologies and equipment, tooling, and materials is highly preferred. Including product creation software and tools.
  • High profile communication and influencing skills, including the ability to interact and update leaders on status to ensure alignment.
  • Proficient understanding of product testing best practices, product planning and logistics, process planning, and expertise in project management with strong communication skills.
  • Adjust to changing circumstances and adapt to ensure product excellence.
  • In‑depth understanding of the innovation creation calendar dates and gates, with the ability to adjust project plans based on compressed timelines and Business needs.
  • The ability to travel 30% of the time.

Compensation and Benefits Package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay‑for‑performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from $96,800 - $127,100 CAD annually ; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program subject to program eligibility requirements.
