Join to apply for the LTO Assignment : Gr 9 & 10 English (ENL1W, ENG2D) 1.00 FTE role at the Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB). The OCSB is seeking a Long Term Occasional teacher to provide coverage for a teacher on leave at the noted school.

Salary and Employment Details

Salary : The salary of each Teacher shall be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement. Effective September 1, 2025, salaries will range from $51,234.00 to $119,943.00.

Process For Selection
  1. The school board shall identify the three most senior applicants who are available for the assignment and hold the required qualifications for the assignment.
  2. An Occasional Teacher shall be considered available for the assignment if they have not already been assigned to another LTO position during the term of the LTO assignment being filled in accordance with this process.
  3. Each of the three most senior applicants shall be contacted to confirm they wish to be considered. If any decline, the board shall contact the next most senior qualified applicant to ensure five applicants are considered.
  4. Should fewer than three qualified applicants apply, the board shall select the successful applicant from the pool.
  5. If no qualified applicants apply or all decline, the board may hire an external qualified teacher not on the OT Roster. External candidates must pass the OT interview process and, if not currently employed by the OCSB, provide a negative PRC dated within the last six months.
  6. AI may be utilized throughout the selection and recruitment process.
