Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and interpretation of the external loads development for EOS concept aircraft.
- Create the load cases matrix meeting FAA Part 25 Certification Requirements with a maturity roadmap from the initial load set to the final load survey load loop to support certification activities.
- Identify and envelope critical load conditions in the flight envelope.
- Interface with the structures, aerodynamics and CFD and Flight Sciences teams.
- Write compliance demonstration documents in accordance with the certification process of the aircraft.
- Automated Load Application & Inertial Relief Setup: create and implement automated methods to apply loads, set up inertial relief runs, and analyze combinations of loads on aircraft structures to optimize for various loading scenarios (e.g., takeoff, landing, cruise).
- Bulk Data File Management: develop methods for building and manipulating bulk data files and control decks for GFEM models, facilitating integration of detailed local models and large-scale system models in NASTRAN.
- Code development to automate the work.
- Start-up environment leadership: lead and collaborate in a fast-paced, often ambiguous start-up environment, providing leadership and creative solutions in structural analysis while adapting to rapidly maturing requirements.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in loads calculation on structural components.
